Pythons Schedule 2012 – 2013

2012-2013 BUAFL Season Fixtures Released

The fixtures for the Pythons second full season have been released and they Pythons have a tough schedule to follow their successful rookie campaign:

LSBU Spartans v Cambridge Pythons, November 11th 2012

The opening game of the season. The Spartans were one of three teams the Pythons overcame last year and the return fixture will be as tense as the previous years fixture.

Cambridge Pythons v Hertfordshire Hurricanes, November 18th 2012

The first home game of the season sees the Pythons welcome the current national champions to Coldham’s Common. The Pythons toughest challenge to date.

Essex Blades v Cambridge Pythons, November 25th 2012

The last game before the Christmas break sees the Pythons return to Colchester to take on the Blades. A big loss last year looks to be rectified.

Cambridge Pythons v Kent Falcons, January 27th 2013

Another rematch of a winning fixture from last year, this time at home. The Falcons will have bitter memories from the loss last year and will be looking to overthrow the Pythons.

Cambridge Pythons v ARU Rhinos, February 3rd 2013 (Superbowl Sunday)

The newly formed Rhinos are the second team spawned from ARU, this time on the Cambridge campus. The Battle for Cambridge will be decided on Superbowl Sunday, followed by the annual Superbowl party at the Cambridge Union Society.

Cambridge Pythons v Canterbury Chargers, February 10th 2013

The final home game of the season sees a new opponent heading into town. The Canterbury Chargers are the cross-town rivals of the Falcons, and they will be hoping not to fall to the same fate as the Falcons the year before.

UEA Pirates v Cambridge Pythons, February 17th 2013

Last season the Pythons could not cope with the brutal running attack of the Pirates, the Pythons hope to shure up their run defence in an attempt to beat the Pirates at home.

Westminster Dragons v Cambridge Pythons, February 24th 2013

Another new team to the mix. The Pythons see out their season with an away trip to London.
