The Cambridge Pythons finished their season with a 3-5 record.
Being their inaugural season this was hailed as a success, with what can be considered as the toughest schedule a rookie team faced in the league.
The three wins came against ARU Phantoms prior to Christmas, and back to back wins against LSBU Spartans and Kent Falcons in nail biting fourth quarter come backs.
To celebrate the year’s achievements the Pythons staged their first annual awards at the Cambridge Union Society. After a team meal the awards were announced with the following categories:
Team MVP, Defensive MVP, Offensive MVP, Special Teams MVP, Lineman of the year, Rookie of the year, Ironman of the year, Player’s player of the year, Coach’s player of the year
The winners, in reverse order, are:`
Coach’s player of the year: Richard Lismore-John
Player’s player of the year (as voted for on the night): Thomas Piachaud

Lineman of the year: Stefan Arridge
Special Teams MVP: Lajos TÖrÖk
